We are evolving things here at iam8bit and wanted to give you an update about how these changes will affect current and pending orders placed though iam8bit.co.uk.
It may be a bit of a surprise to hear that the iam8bit.co.uk website no longer exists …but it’s with good reason 🙂
Despite this change, we promise that the same items will continue to be available to you from iam8bit.com. Current orders, pending orders and customer accounts created on iam8bit.co.uk are INTACT and you can now login to access pending orders and account information here:
Over the years, we have explored many avenues around how to best deliver our treasured products to you. In doing so, we heard from many of you that you would like to have wider access to both our vinyl collection and associated merchandise.
To address this request, we have been cultivating a worldwide list of boutique record and specialty shops who now carry our products. Literally, over one thousand stores around the world have become official iam8bit retailers, from your favorite record shops to well-known chains. We will be updating our website with a list of those stockists very soon. That means there’s already a good chance that you could walk down the street and procure many of our collectibles in your local neighborhood!
If you’d like to see our products in your favorite store, please have them reach out us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our ongoing goal is to widen our already considerable reach so that our items are available locally (mitigating your shipping costs!) as much as possible.
For international customers who will now order from iam8bit.com, we are happy to announce the addition of DHL as a new shipping option. We’ve been diligently negotiating with various carriers for both pricing and ease of importing, and DHL has proven to be both reliable and affordable.
All pending orders placed on iam8bit.co.uk will be safely delivered to you as soon as they become available to ship.

While in fact they leave out the disadvantage, that now when you order from iam8bit being an EU customer, you have to do through custom checks and pay additional VAT.
They only wrote they partnership with DHL now, whether this means they will also do the VAT and customs handling for you (just like eBay’s Global Shipping Program” or Amazon.com do), is yet to be found out.
